Trust is the cornerstone of any successful partnership, which is why we provide every practice subscribing to FACETEC a reliable and secure service offering. And since we believe trust also requires transparency, this page will give you an overview of how we protect your data and ensure compliance and system availability.

Where is FACETEC Data Stored?

FACETEC Data is stored on secure SOC 2-audited servers on proper data centres in Montreal, Quebec (Canada).

How is FACETEC Data Secured?

FACETEC Data is encrypted using 128 bit encryption when sent between your device and our servers and stored with 256 bit encryption (in the same way as your banking information would be).

How is FACETEC Data Accessed?

Administrators and Practitioners access FACETEC using their own account secured by a username and password.

How is FACETEC Data Backed-up?

FACETEC uses mirrored database servers (which act as real-time backups) so in the unlikely event that something happens in data centre, FACETEC can flip over immediately to use the other database server. FACETEC also performs nightly off-site backups, just as an additional precautionary measure.

Who owns FACETEC Data?

There are two levels of privacy to consider with FACETEC. The Account Information we collect from our Subscribers who open a FACETEC account (such as company name and credit card information for billing) and the Patient Data that our clients collect (such as patient name, demographics and medical information for patient records). Our Privacy Policy talks about the former which you can review here.

Patient data (records, photos, charts, patient profiles, appointment history etc) is always owned by you, our subscriber. FACETEC acts as an agent storing patient data on behalf of our customers. The account owner (you) retains ownership of all patient data.
